Actually no offense intended but ... can an entry level engineer from Russia afford to fly to / visit the United States? (A Frenchman, German or Englishman could, especially with the high value of the Euro and the low value of the Dollar).
On the other hand, the expense of club scene in Moscow is barely conceivable to the average American. There's a great article on that recently in Time:
