An amateur webcam community - with heavy emphasis on the word 'amateur' - HotSoloCams.com has some nice flourishes, but overall, the lack of a free chat makes it difficult to rate this site higher than a mediocre six out of ten.

It's just the way of the world. When your competition (DirectSex, PrivateFeeds, LiveJasmin) offers a veritable all-you-can-see buffet of breasts and butts, it can be extremely displeasing to find a cam-site that seems blissfully unaware of any urgent need to include free chat.

HotSoloCams claims to offer "Free text chat" but don't be fooled. You actually have to pay (via credit card) a "one-time" fee of $25, $50, or $100 -- which is a ludicrous system. Moreover, there's no indication of what these increments buy you... presumably minutes, which vary depending on the individual girls' own set rates, it seems.

The average is $2.25 a minute approx - higher than the usual going rate for video chat. One girl, 'Bodylanguage,' was charging $3.77 a min! Whereas, a site like DirectSex, I believe, costs just over about $1 a minute, when you buy your mins in bulk.

Of course, some of the other mainstream webcam sites may seem like a paradise for free-loaders, but a free chat section is also an awesome place to 'try' girls out, and become enamoured with their charms, and basically see them live before you purchase private time alone. However, I'm glad to say that, HotSoloCams doesn't leave its visitors completely out in the cold. They do offer a few nice features to whet the appetites of those ogling their hot - yes, the girls at HotSoloCams are indeed hotties - camladies.

The first feature is the free photo galleries section in most girls' profiles. Now this wouldn't be remarkable or noteworthy if not for the fact that many of these galleries are extensive - some girls have lovingly posted 10 pages of images, ranging from clothed to completely nude to erotic dildo action!

But, that's not all, the best feature is probably the free "private video clip." It doesn't make up for the 'no free chat' concept, although it is cool to see the girl moving, shaking and sometimes baring all - stroking, rubbing, fondling. Much better than some of the video downloads available on other sites. Apart from some buffering issues from time to time, the clips download quickly and can be enlarged to full-screen...

Not all of the girls take advantage of the video functionality, unfortunately, so only some of the girls offer this sneak peak - which lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to a two minute clip. It's the closest thing to an advance preview... That being said, the cams are only as good as the girls' own cameras - some of which are grainy, poorly lit, and overly amateurish and primitive. And, hey, HotSoloCams, where's the audio?

Interestingly, at the bottom of each video screen, there's a 'Hot or Not' style rating system where you can say the clip is either 'Very Hot,' 'Sexy,' 'Alright,' 'Nice Try' or even 'Sucks' (harsh!). Again, in a flaw of epic proportions, we're not told where these ratings go or are stored, so they could simply be lost to oblivion after you rate the vid, or they are visible to members, so you can share your ratings and guide other members towards girls who are the best... or?? Who knows - perhaps there's some kind of American Idol/Big Brother/Survivor competition going on between the girls, and if you get too many 'Sucks,' HotSoloCams boots you from their system... Unlikely, but a fun thought nevertheless.

Another potentially novel feature is a Voyeur cam. Could this be a look at a member's paying cam show...? Or a glimpse into the cam girls' bathroom? bedroom? Again, it's just not clear. It sounds raunchy and risqué, but we're clueless to the pluses of this unique feature.

Bottomline, HotSoloCams is really not the most coherent of sites, which makes it very difficult to justify parting ways with your hard-earned money.

The girls seem to be mostly German, and the company operating HotSoloCams is Dutch, perhaps explaining the communication/language barriers throughout the site and the omission of any instructions or direction. Well, that's enough excuses. Nowadays, you really need to keep up with those sites that continue to raise the bar - and for the most part, Hot Solo Cams isn't trying hard enough...

Their talent is definitely top notch - in line with the LiveJasmins of this world. And, for sure, some of their private videos made me horny as hell! If only there were more women on the site...

The site claims 1000s of webcams - offering Bi-sexual, Couples, Latin, Lesbian, Fetish, Live Date (?), and Solo girls - but I could only count a maximum of 115 cams. Every time I visited, there were only three pages (36 cams worth) of girls available, and some of those appear to be recycled, appearing twice in the listings. And sections like Couples and Latin seemed 'padded out' with regular solo girls' cams...

All in all, I wouldn't rule this site out forever. There were possibly more negatives than positives, yet some of the site's features were beyond the scope of what other sites offer. And the girls on there are hot and sexy, and the vids rock. But, I would recommend that in future, they consider updating the site to include free chat. With a little work, HotSoloCams could be a contender.

visit-x.de, privat-akt.de, strip.tv .. they're all very similar, based on the same system with the same girls.

There's an enormous amount of incredibly hot girls on there. My favorites are "Seidenhaut", "XTINA" and "AnalFee69" (strip.tv).. can't get much hotter than that.

Downside are definitely the prices. By paying the ~$2.50 / minute you DO NOT enter private chat. Other people are able to join the room and while some models ("Seidenhaut" for example) will give you a nice show in this room, others ("XTINA") won't and some will from time to time ("AnalFee69"). Comparable to Peekshow's semi-private.

Last time I checked, a real 1on1 show was ~$7.50 / minute which is clearly too much.

No matter how much money you have spent, once the wallet is empty, the free text chat option wouldn't work anymore.

Almost all the girls offer so called live dates .. so yeah, they're basically hookers Embarassed
