Lots of people asking and Nobody answering Correctly!
Forget all the Advice you read on here before - Allmost all of it is GARBAGE - this is how You record - if you do it this way you wont have to use Bullshit sites like rapidshare or split files, compress, re-encode or any of that nonsence. You will be able to trade on messenger services in a few seconds as they are desinged for. I downloaded someones 2 min vid of Matsch today it was allmost 100 MB and the Qualtiy Sucked Ass - It should have been an 800KB file TOPS! -
Anyway....
Here is What you Need - Go here Now ! - http://www.hyperionics.com/ - it's called Hypercam and it BLOWS every other screen Recorder away ! - End of Story - and its FREE !!!
Here are the Codecs you need or will want to use = http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm = this is the KLITE Codec pack - it has everything u will ever Need to view and encode videos and sound, Once its installed you can even watch ( and SAVE ) Youtube type Vids and Many other FFV or other previously unwatchable, unsavable format Vids, with out having to convert or download them, Just take the video out of internet cache and it opens like an AVI !!! and unlike other packs - it WORKS and doesnt mess up your system - Delete others Packs and stand alones if you have them!

Once you install both - Open Hypercam - on the first tab of the Program it says = screen area - put a check in first and 4th boxes ONLY on the 2nd tab = hot keys put a check in ALT - ONLY. This will put the program in the taskbar when its recording and put a red box around area being recorded when its in Record mode - it will be grey when paused.
On third tab = AVI file, choose where u want the vids to go by clicking browse then navigate to folder etc... also check - add sequential number
>>> Warning - Doing it like this gives the videos a generic name of your choosing - ex. vid01, vid02 etc and will keep renaming them sequentialy till your old and grey. You will then have to, if you care to ( I DONT) go back and rename them later) Some people want their shit named, id rather view a thumbnail of the pigs face, then be botherd naming them, plus I never have to stop mid session to take care of this useless step - Your milage may vary Smile

Also, on this tab uncheck record sound, set the rate in frames to 3 ( you can go higher if you like but unless its a site streaming HiDef video its a waste) Playback will change to 3 automatically , cursor / full frame change to 1 and Key frames to 10
Change Video compressor tp Xvid mpeg-4 codec -( I have tried them all and this one gives you the best Size / Quality trade off ) - Videos will be 95% quality of what you saw or better and sizes will be about 1 MB per every 1.5 to 2.0 minutes. O even smaller ! - You can use windows media 9 if you choose but I think Xvid is superior
Frame Compression Quality should read 33%.
Next, click configure this compressor and it should read From top to botton....

if it doesnt, change what needs to be, so it does.
click other options and uncheck all on the first and second tabs, on 3rd tab check Automaticaly and hit OK then OK again.
Back on Hypercam window go to next tab on = Sound and re-confirm its Unchecked.
Next tab = other Options uncheck record cursor - THATS IT
Now here is how you use it Correctly.
Go to your favorite porn site = Direct Sex etc. & choose performer - Assuming hypercam is still opened go to First tab on it - if it isnt open OPEN IT ! Now click select region and drag mouse Diagonaly From the top left of video window you want to record down to botttom right - Make sure you start about 1/3 inch above the actualy video section and finish at the bottom of the video

If she was the standard video size, you would start rectangle area below the dark blue line above her and under the word resources and continue it to the lower right. You stop it right on the exact edge of her shirt above her left Tit ) if you do this you wont get the watermark in the video ( its a free program , no need to ever register or pay, BUT bye NOT paying you have to make video captures slightly bigger the area you want )- UNDERSTAND? or you can pay the 15$ or whatever it costs now if you choose.
As you drag the cursor ( you do this bye holding down the left mouse button) you will see numbers where you cursor is and in the hypercam main window, they should read video size should read 319 width x 259 height when you see these dimensions let go of mouse button. This Exact size gives you a perfect fit - You can hold the alt Button and left mouse button down to adjust the capture area exactly where u want it at anytime or drag to another open web whore window if someone better is doing a show.
Now go to hot keys tab and memorize choices for - start / stop and pause - if you use F keys = hot Keys You dont have to worry that Hypercam is shrunk down - it opens back up when you push Stop hot Key anyway. keep your finger near the f key u have for pause while recording so in case you havent figured out how to keep direct sex or Secretfriends in conitnuous play - you will be able to pause the recording as many times as you want, so the finished video doesnt have the shit they throw up every minute or so.
You can also move the recording window around while its is recording or is paused bye holding down the ALT key
as well as make the window bigger to record as many windows as you want simultaneously ! I have donw up to 6 seperate feeds all at same time and left it running for an hour to come back to a 1 hour video showing 8 models doing their shit - ( 2 changed shifts while i was away) and the video was about 70 mb !!!
When your performer or YOU are done click the F# hot hey for stop
this program automaticaly names encodes etc.....
You dont have to do anything and can immediately record another whore with no delay to name etc... just bye pushing the appropriate F key - I have recorded one models entire 4 hour shift one boring night , pausing during her breaks or slow parts and the 3+ hour video is only about 45 MB.

Every other program sucks compared to this so use this info as you see fit.
This is 6 years of trial and error talking and over 100 GB of videos to back it up.
This Program is the Only one anyone should be using!

Free advice is Usually just that - but for those of you asking or those who filled your hard drive with a few hundred 2 and 3 minute videos and were left scratching your heads and asses - this is the answer your fellow traders should have given you in the first , and from what i have read the ONLY one that Works !

I will still use capture wiz. The picture is as good as what it's recording. I always select most detail which means more hd space but you can compress a 30min video into 15meg. It's no big deal. Some people I don't know what they use because compression doesn't seem to work but they should use your one or my one as some files don't have to be so big your right and you can save alot of hastle reading all this

No Problem dude, use what works for you.
Nobody is telling you, you have to change.
If you want Huge files that do nothing but clog hard drives, then all the power to you, by the way if you used full Non Compressed recording there is no way to compress a 30 min video to 15MB. A 10 second video at 15 frames P/s at 100% quality, 10 key frames and 1 cap to cursor is 12 MB, that roughly 65 to 70 MB per Minute = roughly 2000MB for 30 Mins - Compress that down to 15MB = LOL good luck most computers would crash just trying to buffer it during Playback.

Using Hypercam / Xvid a 30 min Secretfriend Video avgs. about 8MB or LESS . Nothing needs to be compressed and the quality for all intensive purposes is undestinguishable from the original source.
No program is as fast, powerful, versatile or works as good as Hypercam.

Who wants to record one of these Pigs then have to compress the file, split it or do anything else to it just to store or trade it, thats just silly.

By the way you can use hypercam and record in 100% AVI windows Video source, but then you would have 65 to 70+MB - 1 minute clip which is all but worthless and virtually identical in quality to a compressed video would give you,
Good luck and keep buying those DVD's, Flash drives, hard Drives and other storage devices you need to support you habit. Smile

SOMFW I agree with alot of what your saying - i've seen some SF clips posted with an audio stream! let alone monster sizes for a 2min clip. But your talking like you got the perfect solution, yet you record at a height of 260 when only 238 to 240 is needed? That 22 pixel bar at the bottom must be real annoying. Can you post a sample?

BTW I just ripped a 2hour movie from 16gigs to 250mb on a P3 and the computer didnt crash. Why would it?

my setup:
My Screen recorder pro v2 (no watermarks)
xvid mpeg-4 codec
- profile = portable NTSC
- encoding type = single pass
- target Q = 4
video quality 75
key frames 80
frame rate ?? (depends on connection)
playback rate at least doubled (if preview)
frame size = fixed rate 318x238

Is it perfect? no especially not with my dial-up connection

Anyway I downloaded HyperCam.v2.14.01 and i will give it a shot but like you said I probably will use my current set-up cause it works for me.

I thought I explained why you need the slightly bigger window size as clearly as I could but for those who did not Understand.....
Hypercam is Free !!! - If you DONT want to pay for it, It places a semi transparent watermark at the Top left of every capture. So..... inorder to NOT have this watermark over the girls face or whatever she is zoomed in on you simply and Easily make the video size slightly larger hence 320 x 260 instead of the exact 240.
Hope that once again clears it up.
As to your ripping 16 Gb to 250 thats great and proves my point about compresion, But have you ever tried to watch say a 300, 400, 500MB or even larger AVI, - It sucks I am all about speed, not to mention trying to watch it while also viewing & recording several sites and the various other things one does on a computer?
Oh and DONT forget as You being on dial up know how bad it sucks ass to have to download them. Even on my FiOS most large files are broken up and usually in the worlds worst RAR format so you have to get every part until you can even see what you got, and Most because of the insane size are put on torrent sites or worse Rapidshare.
My comp is about an 18 months old, P4 that was considered upper midrange when it was ordered and its pretty much maxes out when large video apps are running, even with a gig of ram and 512 video ram card etc...
Oh and Dude !!! why dialup? Didnt Dialup Die back in the Y2K days? get with the times - FiOS 20MB download 5 MB upload is the only way to fly in 2007! Get it if its available and you can swing it - Trust me !!!

And I am not trying to convert anyone with my approach, it will do it all bye itself once those using the other garbage ideas thrown around here try it. unless of course you want a 90mb+ 2 minute Secretfriends clip collection - I DONT.

ever hear of warez! Didn't using trialware die in like the 90's. I looked the program up and downloaded a hacked version in a couple of minutes (didnt need highspeed for that). So you have 100's of gigabytes of vids with a bar on the bottom? Do you at least crop it out in vdub? I dont understand, it would bother me if the video didnt maximize to full screen. Can you imagine getting the latest dvd and there was a bar in the picture?

it shoudn't do that, i have a P4 as well as a P3 and can watch large vids while doing captures at the same time with out a problem

Some thoughts on hypercam:
yep, good program, pretty similar to My screen recorder pro(MSRP) except:
Pros:
the customizable capture buttons are a great feature in hypercam
Cons:
-the blinking box is not as subtle as in MSRP (and you really need the blinking when you pause/resume alot). In MSRP it is just green picture holders at the corners that blink with each frame capture and do not blink at all when paused.
-As well when starting an MSRP capture the window sticks to the mouse until you drop it precisely where you want it.(do not need to press ctrl&shift) and it is easier to make adjustments if the window needs to be adjusted(i couldnt do it with the window still blinking)
-when you press the stop capture button in MSRP a window pops up asking you to name the file. I couldnt do the same in hypercam, instead i had to rename the file manually. That could be a major pain if you got a whole buncha files named clip, clip1 and you cant remember the girls names.

Otherwise both programs make it sooo easy to capture the girls

I can post the programs here if the mods dont oppose

It's not technically "Trialware" as there is no experation date - Perhaps I should have bought it, but I chose not to - My bad - life goes on.

Yes I can Imagine buying a "New DVD" and there being a bar across the top or Bottom or Both, ( NOT the Picture) - I think its whats commonly known as Letterbox format or wide screen or 16 x 9 - this bar isnt in the picture - still dont know why you cant grasp that.

I DONT find the extra 1/4" bar at the TOP (not in the picture) a distraction, I do However find oversized or wrongly? encoded video caps to be a pain in the ass, which was one of the reasons for the original post, as well as to teach those who DONT know ( and have asked ) how to Capture video and to educate those who have gotten Bad Advice. This is what I feel is the Best way to do it.

Had you Set the program up EXACTLY as I Directed and sized the window Exactly as I described you would have seen for yourself - Doing this will also take care of your other questions / points

It does enlarge to full screen. why wouldnt it? the players I use ( Windows Media Player or Windows Video Player classic Have Menu bars / Borders etc.. Top, Bottom and Sides, So to me its Just another out of the way Taskbar.

As to the blinking feature - Mine doesnt Blink, again if you set it up as I had said to, yours wouldnt either and you would have a tiny red box around all Active recording windows, which would turn grey when paused and disapear when stopped - This is personal prefference NOT a pro or con of the program. I find blinking boxes annoying which is why I disabled it, I prefer the Red= on and Grey = Paused approach.

To move the Recording area all you have to do is drag it while holding ALT and it DOES go precisely where you want it. and can be done while paused or active, blinking or not.
And finaly in regards to the Renaming , as I Clearly stated ( this again is a personal prefference ) I Could care less about naming them, and therefore, DONT bother doing it. I Like that a window doesnt pop up asking me to name it. Sometimes I have a dozen windows and tabs open and Not wanting to miss action will stop one pigs video capture and immediatley start anothers when she starts doing something I want to film. and bye Not having to name it , I Dont miss what I wanted. - Sometimes the action changes that quickly !!!
Besides Several models I Actively Film have different names on EVERY site they are on, and some even change those names pretty frequently.

If there is any CON of doing it this way, it is to me. If somebody wants something I have and I dont know the Whores name (which, I normaly dont even bother looking at anymore) They will have to send a face cap of her at which point I have to do some extra work to find her, But knowing the WebWhores I record or at least the type I do , I can usualy tell them Immediately if I have her or not. Yeah its time consuming but No more then Re-Naming, Re-Sizing, Re-Encoding Etc... Every Single Video. And think of all the money You will save on Storage media!

Oh and I am certain you have a better computer then I, but when I start watching these HUGE 500 MB + avi files while I recording my own , and searching for models to record My computer sometimes , seriously slows down - the point is I would rather have a decently compressed nice length vido of the Pigs I like then some Huge MB short one that is a" lossless" recording of an allready compressed source

. I only have a few on my comp and if they're compressed it's really not alot anyway - however if it's THAT good then people have no reason not to get it. I might even check it out myself

Got a shit load of Emails and text messages both thanking and condemning my thoughts on recording.
Let me Restate this Once again - ALL THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!!!
But, with that said - The way I have given to record your Fav. CamWhores realy works!
So take it if you want it or Dont there is no pressure here.
The Nasty messages seem to think I am a Jehovah Witness or something similiar out to convert the world ( My apologies if there are any Pervert Jehovah witnesses reading this) I am not one.
All I did was offer my insight and views to questions and comments I have seen repeatedly on this forum.
I, as have Others here have been doing this for a long time, and I thought it was a shame to see so much bad advice out there as well as people posting ridiculously LARGE files that were only a few mins long, ( an 80+MB 2 min baddly encoded video, serves what purpose? )
Anyway, like I said, If your way works for you great if it doesnt and your one of the many who have sought alternatives - ( Above ) you will find a Proven , Extremely Easy and reliable way to do what it is you wanted.
The whole idea is to record these pigs and trade them so we dont all go broke trying to get them all ourselves
