I always suspected that most camgirls were on several sites, now we know for sure eh? Tony says sometimes they are sites that are affiliated with each other so thats OK. I think sometimes they have two keyboards so that they can see the translation of what the chatters are saying, unless there is a person telling them in their language. I wonder if the webcam per capita ratio in Romania (and Slovakia and the other countries in the rest of Eastern and Central Europe) is ridiculously high??? I mean, practically every girl I encounter online at camsites is from that area of the world... makes you wonder if webcams are extra cheap over there, and sold in every supermarket??

But, yep, it seems that the 'studios' that hire camgirls often sell their feeds to a few sites at once, to maximise profit... I sometimes look around town when I'm driving and I see a few nice girls. Makes me consider opening my own 'studio' here!!! Cool

I have 'camgirl' friend from Poland, whose studio is now affiliated with livejasmine. She has always worked at multiple sites. The other sites were 'pay to chat' like visit-x, and Camcontacts, so she has always been able to chat in free chat without too much problem. And when someone enters her pay to chat site poof she is gone.
I don't know too much about studios, but they have to be rolling in money. When my 'friend's' studio was on flirt4free, the charge was 5.99 a minute. She got 50 cents a minute. Someone is making money... It sure isn't the model.

I suppose 50 cents per minute isn't bad at all, as long as you're busy a full hour at a time -- but I doubt that happens. Still, in some countries the minimum wage is equivalent to a couple of bucks an hour.

Sadly, I predict that we'll eventually see a drop in the number of girls from eastern Europe. Some of the countries in the region have already joined the EU, and a bunch of others are wanting to. All they have to do is make sure their governments are democratic and have a market economy, really. Once the EU gets its act together there will be an EU-wide minimum wage, and you can bet it'll have to be high enough to make the Brits, French, and Germans happy. When that happens many of the girls will probably leave to make money doing other things.

The other option is to make camgirl sites even more expensive, which I'm sure will cause significent consternation to fine connowsers of camgirls everywhere. Shocked

Yeah, 50 cents is good -- if constantly in a private chat! So, most of the time they're chatting in free, and then they get 50 cents a minute until Quick Draw McGraw shoots and that's it... So, at that rate, she's taking home about $3 a day!?!? Shocked
